Kochi Fort
This was the town of fishing under the ruler of Kochi Kingdom. In the year 1503 when the Portuguese settlers came here, they gave the new name called Fort Kochi. Later, the fort got captured by Dutch as well as British settlers. Dutch also destroyed most of the parts of this monument.
Mattupetty Dam
The dam is situated near Munnar in the district of Idukki and is must to explore with heritage tour packages. The dam is the producer of hydroelectricity which helps in irrigation. It is the major source of living for most of the villagers.
Napier Museum
The museum was built in the year 1855 and is situated in Thiruvananthapuram. The architecture is influenced by the Gothic architecture. Tourists can go through rare coins, artifacts, bronze idols, ornaments and ancient temple, which is why it is known as the best heritage site in Kerala.
