Alleppey, originally called Alappuzha, is an abode to diverse life forms. Its breath-taking palm-fringed and interlinking waterways makes it the “Venice of the East". Cruising through these waters is an amazing experience. A houseboat is a luxurious floating abode. It is equipped with modern facilities, customised from single bedroom to about 4-5 bedrooms and includes dining as well as a kitchenette.
Sail through the serene backwaters with palm trees and lush green paddy fields as the backdrop. Savor the lip-smacking traditional south Indian meals in the houseboat as you enjoy the beauty of Alleppey. Relax and unwind yourself by the gentle rocking of the boat.
After the spectacular cruise, let’s take a walk through the roads of Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Chinese fishing nets are another attraction. You can see how fishermen operate it. Maritime Museum depicts the history of IndianNavy. Antique pistols, Navy warships and aircraft carriers are displayed here.
Evening can be joyous on the Fort Kochi beach.
