The Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium is the place that you must visit to witness different species of birds and species. The aquarium is located in Vizhinjam near Theatre Junction at a distance of about 1.3 kilometres from the town of Kovalam. The aquarium got established in the year 1997 which is a must visit while on a tour to Kerala.
The aquarium consists of squirrelfish, lionfish, giant turtles, butterfly fish, surgeon fish and sharks. Here a technique is performed which is image pear production in which the mould of lime gets filled in the oyster and within next three months a pearl in shape of the mould is ready. One also gets to take a close look at some of the mysteries of the life of marine at this beautiful destination.
